Gairy M - That's a satisfyingly symmetrical profile graphic, no?
Stephen W - ehh? so once up Everest was not enough! are you trying for the fastest ever everesting time? awesome.
Ian B - Gairy - yes, isn't it :)
Steve - it was the lure of the first ascent of one of, if not the, hardest climb in Wales. Fastest Everesting is sub 9 hours!
Iwan E - Impressive effort Ian - I think I'd struggle on my 34/28 setup..!
R G - You're totally broken. lol
Stephen W - Just great dunn fell and an off road version to go then! :)
Ian B - Iwan - cheers. 34/28 would've killed me!
Rich - legs feel ok this morning, thanks.
Steve - don't know Great Dunn Fell?
R G - Ha, I meant more generally. Some might say a little bit damaged... :P
Gareth O - Chapeau Ian. :-)
Stephen W - great dunn fell!? google it... the only cat 1 my side of the boarder and on a virtualy closed road...when you do it give me a call ;)
Ian B - Thanks Gareth :)
Steve - I see that one's been done already...
Simon M - Thought it was you yesterday, well done, once was enough for me never mind 23 more!
Ian B - Simon, was that you at the summit mid afternoon-ish?
Jack P - Only 24 ascents, serious shizzle. A legend
Simon M - It was only in passing, around the cross area, you were descending as I climbed. I should have guessed you were up to something as you looked very business like.
Lee R - Kin smashed it fella
Andy v - Holy Moses... that is one steep climb! This is now up in the www.everesting.cc hall of fame!
Ian B - Fantastic, cheers Andy :)
My write up of the ride is at https://ianbarrington.com/2016/09/19/everesting-bwlch-y-groes/
Javier S - Bravo machine!!
Toby W - Bloody marvellous. What gearing did you go with? I can only just clear this on a 39/28
Ian B - Toby, I used 34/42 to keep things manageable. It was still tough even then, towards the end
Chris R - Nice one Ian, that's a helluva climb (x24)! I'll read your write up in a bit, but that's a proper mental (& physical obviously!) workout. Kudos sir.
James B - Well done. I admit I'm a little annoyed as I wanted to do this one first. :)
Ian B - James, one of the subtle joys of Everesting; identifying a target and hoping no-one gets in before you :)
I admit I was surprised someone hadn't done it already, and had a few anxious weeks of checking it was still not done before tackling it myself!
rob g - Some effort that......one ascent of that thing in a day is enough for me.
